The question about the
urgency of this mission therefore also has two different challenges.
From the very beginning of Atlantic
Bridge
in 1988 there have been two separate purpose statements. Bringing young people
to understand the Gospel of Christ on the one hand, and connecting young people
from conflicting backgrounds and cultures to respect and appreciate each
other’s differences on the other hand. These separate statements work together as two rails on a railroad
track; the train only moves forward if they remain parallel to each other. They
are part of the strategy to build bridges into a world that is no longer
Christian. The question about the urgency of this mission therefore also has
two different challenges.
